Add Email to Your Domain

You can add an email address to your domain to look professional and strengthen your brand. This guide will show you how to create a new email address (or multiple addresses) with your domain.

Set Up a Custom Email Address

Let’s say your domain is yourgroovydomain.com. You can create email addresses like info@yourgroovydomain.com and contact@yourgroovydomain.com. The part before the @ symbol (like “info” or “contact”) can be anything at all.

To add a new email to your domain:

  1. Ensure you have a domain either registered or connected to WordPress.com.
  2. Visit your site’s dashboard.
  3. Navigate to Upgrades → Emails (or Hosting → Emails if using WP Admin).
  4. Choose an email solution, where you can enter the new email address you wish to create.

Email is not included with your WordPress.com plan, but you can purchase affordable Professional Email or purchase a suite of Google Apps (including Gmail) with Google Workspace. Visit the Emails page to view pricing in your currency.

At any time, only one of the email options mentioned in this guide can be active on your domain. Multiple email services on the same domain will not work.
